Recently, our self-developed fully automatic Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) system successfully passed rigorous acceptance testing and was delivered to a globally leading German manufacturer of industrial motors and drive systems. This milestone marks the first time that a Chinese-made VPI system has entered the core supply chain of Germany’s high-end industrial sector, demonstrating our international competitiveness in advanced electrical insulation equipment.
As an Industry 4.0 benchmark enterprise, the client imposes extremely stringent requirements on stator coil impregnation: 100% void-free resin penetration, uniform impregnation, full digital traceability throughout the process, and compliance with international standards such as IEC 60034 and DIN EN 60275. Historically reliant on European and American equipment, the client demanded near “zero-failure” reliability from new suppliers.
In response, we developed a customized, fully automatic VPI system compliant with CE certification and Industry 4.0 interface standards, featuring:
High-vacuum + high-pressure dual-stage impregnation: Achieves vacuum ≤5 mbar and pressure up to 0.8 MPa, ensuring complete resin penetration even in complex windings;
Closed-loop process control: PLC + SCADA system monitors over 20 real-time parameters (temperature, pressure, liquid level, viscosity, etc.), with automatic data logging and seamless integration into the client’s MES;
Enhanced safety design: Integrated explosion-proofing, leak detection, and emergency pressure relief systems meet EU Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and ATEX requirements;
Eco-efficient operation: Closed-loop solvent recovery system improves resin utilization by 15% and reduces VOC emissions by over 90%.
After installation in Germany, the equipment passed full-system certification on the first attempt and achieved a 100% product yield rate during its first month of trial production—earning high praise from the client.
