Latest company case about Successful Delivery! PSA Law Vacuum Drying System Empowers Advanced Materials Manufacturing

Recently, our company successfully completed the Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and officially shipped a custom-developed PSA Law Vacuum Drying System for a leading domestic manufacturer of specialty high-performance polymers. This milestone marks a significant step forward for the client in its journey toward higher product quality, energy efficiency, and carbon reduction—and further demonstrates our deep expertise and outstanding project delivery capabilities in advanced, energy-saving drying technologies.

The client is a top-tier Chinese producer of polyimide (PI) film precursors and specialty engineering plastic resins. Their products demand extremely stringent control over trace moisture and solvent residues—typically ≤50 ppm—as even minor deviations directly impact the performance and reliability of downstream applications such as flexible printed circuits and aerospace components. Previously, the client relied on conventional hot-air circulation and standard vacuum drying methods, which presented two critical challenges:

High Energy Consumption: Achieving ultra-low dew points required continuous operation of high-power vacuum pumps, while large amounts of low-grade thermal energy were wasted, resulting in persistently high operating costs.

Process Instability: Fluctuations in ambient humidity compromised drying consistency, making it difficult to meet the rigorous uniformity standards demanded by high-end customers.

Innovative Solution: The PSA Law Vacuum Drying Technology

To address these pain points, we proposed an integrated, energy-efficient vacuum drying solution centered on Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) dehumidification technology. This was not merely an equipment upgrade, but a fundamental re-engineering of the drying process itself.

Core Technical Principle

The system integrates a dedicated PSA-based ultra-dry air generation unit that produces compressed air with a dew point below –70°C. This ultra-dry air is then introduced into the sealed drying chamber as both a carrier and protective gas. Under mild vacuum conditions, it rapidly strips moisture and solvents from the material—significantly reducing reliance on extreme vacuum levels.

Key Advantages

1. Substantial Energy Savings

Compared to traditional mechanical-pump-only vacuum drying, the PSA Law system achieves 30–50% lower energy consumption. Its “moderate vacuum + ultra-dry air rapid displacement” approach dramatically reduces the load and runtime of high-vacuum pumps.

2. Enhanced Drying Efficiency & Product Quality

The ultra-low dew point creates an exceptionally stable, low-humidity environment, ensuring uniform, thorough drying. Final moisture content is consistently excellent and highly reproducible across batches.

3. Eco-Friendly Operation

Designed with either a fully closed-loop circulation or high-efficiency exhaust treatment, the system enables solvent condensation and recovery, minimizing VOC emissions and supporting the client’s environmental and carbon neutrality goals.

We are more than just a drying equipment supplier—we are a strategic partner in our clients’ process optimization and sustainability transformation. From initial energy audits and process consulting to customized design, smart manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and lifelong after-sales support, we deliver end-to-end value throughout the equipment lifecycle.
